Our Client is seeking a UX Researcher for a W2-only, extendable 1 year Contract position in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a hybrid position, 3-4 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Your research will be agile, keeping pace with the rapid innovation in the team, but also making sure that we're keeping an eye on the big picture in understanding our customer groups
- Perform research activities from study design to recruiting, moderation, analysis, and reporting
- Conduct lab-based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, field research, and survey design
- Manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multitask in an agile environment
- You will support designing and implementing a research strategy while gaining experience across a variety of methods and tools.
- Your research will be agile, performing quick but thorough data analysis in order to create insightful findings
- Our team moves fast and iterate continually
- You will be right there with them - but you will also find time to zoom out and ask the big questions that change the course of these programs
Required Skills:
- You have broad skills in user research and design research methods, and a thorough understanding of qualitative and quantitative research concepts
- As an ideal candidate, you have a deep understanding of user research methods and best practices, but you also have a nimble, creative and pragmatic approach, and you're interested in pushing the boundaries of agile research
- You are a passionate researcher with uncanny observational and analytical skills, an impressive ability to collaborate with other teams and designers, and a relentless determination to do what is right for Client’s customers
- 3+ years proven success managing User Research projects from end to end.
- Bachelor's degree in HCDE, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field
- A strong research portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g. study plans, reports)
