Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Comprehensive Veterinary Care:
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnostic assessments.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for a variety of animal health issues.
  • Perform a wide range of veterinary procedures, including vaccinations, surgeries, dentistry, and diagnostic testing.
  • Provide client education on animal health, disease prevention, and home care.
  • Counsel clients on pet nutrition, behavior, and other related topics.
• Client Communication:
  • Build strong relationships with clients and maintain open and honest communication regarding their pets' health.
  • Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and potential risks and benefits.
  • Address client concerns and answer questions professionally and compassionately.
• Teamwork:
  • Collaborate effectively with veterinary technicians, support staff, and other veterinarians to ensure the best possible patient care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Licensure/Certification: Valid Alaska Veterinary Medical License.
