Location: Remote or Bellingham, WA

Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per month

Commitment Length: 6 months, with the opportunity to extend

Overview: Kulshan Carbon Trust (KCT) is seeking a passionate and creative Social Media Coordinator to help maintain & expand our digital presence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, community engagement, and climate advocacy. You will play a key role in sharing KCT’s mission, principles, projects, and events across various social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and schedule engaging content for KCT’s social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Hylo, etc.).
  2. Create and curate graphics, videos, and written content that amplify KCT’s brand and mission.
  3. Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
  4. Track analytics and help develop strategies to improve engagement and reach.
  5. Collaborate with KCT team members to promote events, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities.

Ideal Qualifications:

  1. Experience in managing social media for organizations, businesses, or personal projects.
  2. Strong writing and effective communication skills.
  3. Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Suite, or other content creation tools is preferred but not required.
  4. Passion for environmental conservation and climate solutions.
  5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
