Seeking a Water Resources Design Engineer in Lafayette or New Orleans to lead coastal infrastructure projects, including dams, levees, flood protection, shoreline protection, and coastal restoration.
What You'll Do
- Manage heavy civil and water resources design projects with coastal engineering focus from planning to construction
- Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and team coordination
- Conduct studies, modeling, and design development for infrastructure and coastal projects
- Review technical reports, plans, and specifications for quality and accuracy
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, contractors, and regulatory partners
- Mentor staff and support business development activities
- Maintain current knowledge of heavy civil, water resources, and coastal engineering practices
Qualifications include a BS in Engineering, Louisiana PE license, 6+ years of relevant experience, and knowledge of hydrodynamic modeling. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree and experience with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Travel between Louisiana, Texas, and Florida may be required.
