The Yukon Flats Project is recruiting for its seasonal exploration program in Birch Creek, Alaska, running between June and October.
The Weather Observer’s role is to provide FAA-approved weather observations to approved air carriers and provide flight control guidance for aircraft on approach to or on the runway. Conduct regular runway inspections and communicate deficiencies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide FAA-approved weather observations to approved air carriers
- Provide flight control guidance for aircraft on approach to or on the runway
- Conduct regular runway inspections and communicate deficiencies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must maintain certification as Weather Observer Established by NOAA, reporting under METAR system
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Possess a valid driver’s license
