The Welder position is for a 2nd shift Production Team Welder responsible for fitting and welding steel and aluminum using MIG and TIG processes.
Initially trained on first shift, then transitioned to second shift after training completion.
- Apply safe work practices per ANSI Z49.1 and company policies.
- Interpret welding documentation like WPS, PQR, WPQR, and certifications.
- Weld to AWS D1.1 and D1.2 standards, proficient with GMAW (MIG), including solid wire and FCAW.
- Perform fillet welds in various positions, ensuring high-quality, aesthetically pleasing welds.
- Conduct self-inspections and execute repairs promptly.
- Maintain equipment and work area following 6S principles.
- Utilize thermal cutting tools and perform fabrication tasks.
Requirements include safety awareness, team collaboration, ability to pass practical weld tests, physical capability to handle demanding tasks, and reading technical documents. A Welding Technology degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Candidates must be reliable, self-motivated, and willing to work 40+ hours weekly on second shift.
