Job Summary
A manufacturing company in Dawsonville, GA is seeking a skilled MIG Welder to support its fabrication and production operations. The MIG Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components and assemblies used in industrial applications. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to safety, quality, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols
  • Set up welding equipment and adjust machine settings based on specifications
  • Fabricate, assemble, and weld parts according to production requirements
  • Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards
  • Perform grinding, fitting, and basic metal preparation as needed
  • Maintain welding equipment and ensure safe operating conditions
  • Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing quality standards
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to meet deadlines

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
  • Basic mechanical and fabrication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Welding certification (preferred)
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing
  • Experience in high-volume or precision manufacturing environments
  • Forklift or overhead crane experience (a plus)

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments with heat, noise, and fabrication equipment
