The Relationship Specialist II will consistently promote, advocate, and deliver credit union products and services to current and prospective members. This position will be responsible for determining the member's immediate and unperceived needs by actively promoting, advocating, and delivering all deposit products and services including checking, savings, debit cards, IRAs, certificates, etc., as well as convenience services, such as online banking, mobile banking, e-statements, and direct deposit.This position will promote, advocate, and deliver all consumer loan products and services including, but not limited to: personal loans and lines of credit, auto and recreational vehicle loans, credit cards, automated payments of all such loans, and referrals to a Mortgage Lender for loans secured by real estate. This position will also provide administrative support to management and other department personnel through the successful completion of routine tasks, projects, and miscellaneous duties as assigned.Primary Functions• Establish, develop, and maintain strong member relationships through face-to-face interactions, telephone communications, and written correspondence in addition to providing a consistent level of service which is timely, thorough, and responsive to all members.• Represent the Credit Union in meeting a broad range of financial service needs.• With little or no supervision, responsible for providing service and cross-sell related products and services to existing and prospective members. Interaction may include other financial institutions to meet member service needs.• Identify situations when it is best to request other resources to effectively exceed member expectations.• Capable of communicating with management and other Credit Union staff, as well as current and new members and other financial institutions to meet member service needs. Key Areas of Responsibility• Primary or secondary teller in the branch which may include opening or closing the branch location independently and / or without supervision.• Responsible for performing and facilitating a wide range of account related transactions daily in person, over the phone, or through electronic communication.• Will have vault combinations and / or vault responsibilities which include ordering and maintaining cash, buying and selling cash, and cash related audits.• Establishes, develops, and maintains strong member relationships by providing a consistent quality level of service which is timely, thorough, and responsive to all members and exceeds expectations.• Respond to routine requests and inquiries to resolve member concerns or complaints with Credit Union services, products, or software.• Take ownership of member problems, concerns, or complaints until they are resolved to the member's satisfaction which includes involving management or other resources when necessary.• Use of appropriate questioning techniques and tact when explaining features and benefits of products and services and/or when collecting sensitive and private information.• Recommend products and services which fulfill the member's need.• Capable of asking for the member's business.• Provide teller services in person, over the telephone and by mail which includes taking deposits and loan payments, and disbursing funds by check and cash.• Provide other teller support services as needed to meet the needs of each member.• Record all types of account transactions into the Credit Union accounting system and maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing member account transactions and accounting for cash.• Work on a variety of special projects that may be assigned to support Credit Union operations.• Provide administrative support for management personnel as needed.• Present a professional image of Four Points Federal Credit Union and provide a service experience which exceeds member expectations.
