We are looking for someone with a track record of impactful journalism that leads to change. Full-time investigative reporting experience is preferred, but we also will consider experienced beat reporters who have a history of delivering top-notch enterprise, investigative and public-records journalism. This position will round out the Review-Journals award-winning, five-member investigative team. Las Vegas is a target-rich environment. In recent years, our stories have sparked indictments at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Henderson constables office and the Nye County Sheriffs Office. Other investigations resulted in audits and changes to state law. To be considered, your work should show those kinds of results. Applicants should have extensive experience with public records requests and computer-assisted data analysis. Candidates who have extensive CAR skills will be given higher priority in the search process. Reporters on the team are allowed significant time to produce long-term projects but also are expected to develop quick turns and shorter investigations. Las Vegas is as dynamic a news market as anywhere in the country, and the Review-Journal is the areas dominant news source. Drivers operate within a maximum of a 200-mile radius of their home branch, with deliveries originating and ending at the branch (no deliveries result in an overnight stay). </p><ul><li>Home every night</li><li>Safety Bonus</li><li>Safely drive a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations.</li><li>Be a leader for job site safety by operating all equipment in accordance with local, state, and federal laws at all times.</li><li>Perform pre and post-trip inspections</li><li>Validate and confirm inventory loaded on the truck comparing purchase orders, sign-off on delivery tickets and confirm addresses on delivery tickets and ensure that routing information is obtained prior to leaving the branch.</li><li>Conduct a job site inspection and document any existing damage to lawn, landscaping, or driveway, and the location of any power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, fences, etc.</li><li>Capture pictures of all building products delivered in accordance with Company Policy.</li></ul><p/><p><b><u>Requirements</u></b></p><ul><li>Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).</li><li>Truck Crane Operation Certification a plus.</li><li>Telescopic Boom- Fixed Cab Certification a plus.</li><li>Boom Truck- Fixed Cab Certification a plus.</li><li>Articulating Boom Crane Certification a plus.</li><li>Ability to load and unload building products that weigh up to 100 lbs. each off of a straight bed truck on a continuous basis. Prior experience operating a forklift or Moffett is a plus.</li><li>Must be a safe driver with no hit & runs or no DWI or DUI convictions within the last three years. One or more accidents and/or severe violations in the last year will be reviewed by HR and Management.</li><li>Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations for Logistic Specialists a plus.</li><li>Prior work experience within distribution is a plus.</li><li>Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.</li><li>Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. If crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials, then the minimum age is 21.  These two issues apply to very few of our positions.</li><li>Must pass a required drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate.
