Regional focus Texas or Florida, US Summary: Putzmeister is seeking a highly skilled Operations Specialist 3D Concrete Printing with extensive hands-on experience in concrete pumping using boom trucks. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our 3D printing machinery, ensuring high performance, and implementing improvements. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the equipment’s performance, including repairs and enhancements, and will be a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate 3D Printing Machinery: Manage and operate 3D printing equipment for construction projects, including site planning ensuring efficient and high-quality execution. Machine Maintenance & Repairs: Take full ownership of the 3D printing machinery, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, manages & plans parts inventory and overseeing repairs to maintain peak performance. Standard Operating Procedures: Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the operation and maintenance of 3D printing equipment, ensuring consistent quality and reliability. Customer Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with customers regarding project status, equipment performance, and quality assurance. Performance Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to enhance machine performance and efficiency, based on hands-on experience and feedback. Training: Provide training to customers and team members on the proper operation and maintenance of 3D printing machinery. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered. Qualifications: Concrete Pumping Experience: Extensive on-the-job experience with concrete boom trucks is required. This experience is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of operating and maintaining similar equipment. Technical Expertise: 5-10 years of relevant technical experience, with a strong background in mobile hydraulic, electrical, software, and mechanical systems. Equipment Ownership: Demonstrated ability to take ownership of equipment performance, including repairs, maintenance performance improvements as well as continuous improvement mindset. High Travel Willingness: Willingness to travel frequently for printing projects ( 50% of the time). Self-Motivated & Hands-On: Must be highly independent with intrinsic motivation to succeed, self-motivated, and proactive in solving problems and managing equipment. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers, other departments like the headquarter in Germany and detailed documentation of procedures. Education/Certification/Training: Degree: Associate or BS degree in Engineering, Heavy Equipment Technology, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience. Existing CDL is a plus Industry Experience: Experience in the construction or concrete industry is highly preferred. Safety Training: Completion of mandatory safety training (see “Total Compliance Management” program) and on-the-job training. Languages: Multilingual abilities (Spanish and/or German) are a plus. Summary: Act as the Putzmeister Field Service Representative in the assigned region and build/maintain business relationships, which position Putzmeister as providing Premier Product Support. Establish regular communications and planning cadence with Regional Sales Directors and Parts Sales Representatives to achieve sales and product support objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ? Manage time and territory to provide timely & effective resolution of customers’ equipment problems/concerns in the field, sometimes in difficult situations. ? Travel to customer locations, often on very short notice, to perform in-depth troubleshooting on electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and interrelated problems. ? Professionally communicate information concerning repairs, production issues, product quality, or customer-related issues. ? Provide in-service or commissioning of new equipment at customer locations. Complete handover documentation. ? Provide professional training on machine operation, troubleshooting, and repair techniques to customers/agents in the field. ? Provide technical support to the agent/customer via multiple channels (email, telephone, text, etc.) and manage Warranty / Goodwill issues and concerns. ? Coordinate boom inspections and welding repairs as needed by customers. Provide/complete the required documentation for records. ? Market / Support Authorized Service Centers (dealers) to customers for repair work and parts purchases (in and out of warranty). ? Aided in the evaluation and selection of potential service centers (dealers). Assist and measure service center against established PM Service Standards. ? Prepare timely field service reports in a well-written and concise manner and file them weekly. ? Keep abreast of industry technology and trends, including concrete pumping applications/processes. ? Perform additional duties as requested or required. Qualifications: ? Excellent communication skills. ? 5-10 years of technical experience. ? Travel 75% Education/Certification/Training: ? Associate or BS degree in Engineering, Heavy Equipment Technology, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience. ? In-depth knowledge of mobile hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. ? Multi-lingual individual a plus (Spanish and/or German) ? Concrete industry experience a plus ? Mandatory safety training (see “Total Compliance Management” program). ? On-the-job training. Work Environment/Physical Demands: ? While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to dust, working near moving mechanical parts, and occasionally exposed to chemicals. ?
