This position works with the Tax Administration Senior Manager to ensure tax administrative processes are followed in compliance with firm policies and procedures, state, and federal regulations and notifies Tax Administration Senior Manager of potential concerns or risk associated with tax processing. The Tax Administration Manager collaborates with the office administration department and local tax leadership and oversees daily tax administration processes and procedures within an assigned team. This position works with the Tax Administration Senior Manager to ensure tax administrative processes are followed in compliance with firm policies and procedures, state, and federal regulations and notifies Tax Administration Senior Manager of potential concerns or risk associated with tax processing. Job Duties:<ul><li>Generates and analyzes reports to assess workflow</li><li>Keeps Tax Administration Senior Manager informed of potential concerns or risks associated with tax processing</li><li>Identifies issues related to tax systems and processes and consults with Tax Administration Senior Manager for solutions</li><li>Trains administrative and tax professionals on tax administration processes and procedures</li><li>Disseminates communications at the direction of Tax Administration Senior Manager/National Tax Administration related to tax software and processes to tax and administrative professionals</li><li>Communicates with local tax leadership regarding tax administration updates</li><li>Maintains strong working relationships with local tax leadership, tax software and process champions, and office administration leadership</li><li>Completes required technical training courses and proactively stays up to date on firm applications, processes, and procedures utilizing all firm provided resources</li><li>Other duties as required</li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities:<ul><li>Supervises the day-to-day workload and oversight of local, assigned team members</li><li>Ensures team growth by setting performance goals</li><li>Ensures team members are trained on all relevant software, resources, and processes</li><li>Evaluates the performance of direct reports, provides performance feedback and assists in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional development</li></ul>Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Education:<ul><li>High school diploma, required</li><li>Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferred</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Five (5) or more years of work experience in tax administration matters, required</li><li>Prior Experience in a professional services firm, required</li><li>Experience with training and presenting to multiple levels of employees, preferred</li></ul>License/Certifications:<ul><li>N/A</li></ul>Software:<ul><li>Strong in Microsoft Office Suite of products, required</li><li>Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software experience, preferred</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Thomson Reuters and CCH suite of products preferred</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>N/A</li></ul>Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:<ul><li>Knowledge of tax deadlines, tax forms, and tax processes and procedures</li><li>Able to exercise independent judgment and strong reasoning skills</li><li>Management and delegation skills to effectively lead and direct tax administrative team</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate with diverse personalities in a tactful and mature manner</li><li>Ability to communicate tactfully and professionally in high demand situations</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Excellent organization skills with the ability to work on various projects simultaneously</li><li>Strong understanding of BDO tax administration and tax practice goals, objectives, and initiatives.</li><li>Ability to manage highly confidential information </li><li>Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.</li></ul>Washington Range:  $75,000 - $90,000About UsJoin us at BDO, where you will find more than a career, you’ll find a place where your work is impactful, and you are valued for your individuality.
