Immediate contract opportunity for Broadcast Maintenance Technician with direct client in New York, NY. This position is in the Broadcast and Conference Support Section (BCSS), under the overall guidance and supervision of the Broadcast Technology and Engineering Managers The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the following duties: • Install, repair, and maintain audio visual, Conference, AV and broadcast production and postproduction equipment and associated hardware and software systems. • Install, repair and maintenance of electronic voting systems, projection equipment, public address systems, and broadcast related network appliances such as video conferencing units. • Install, repair and maintain all communications equipment, cable TV distribution systems Televisions, and other Audio/Video equipment in the UNHQ and official residences. • Create, review, maintain and edit as appropriate technical documentation, ensuring that all works are correctly documented. • Provide hardware and software quality control testing and troubleshooting support. • As required Perform ad hoc operation of audio visual, Congress Microphone, Simultaneous Interpretation equipment, television production and postproduction equipment and systems.
