<div><p/><p>STS Technical Services is hiring a Senior Helicopter A&P Mechanic in Palestine, Texas. This is a high-impact aviation role supporting critical air medical operations. Qualified candidates are eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000.</p><p>If you are an experienced FAA-certified A&P Mechanic with helicopter maintenance experience and strong troubleshooting skills, this opportunity allows you to support aircraft that operate on life-saving missions every day.</p><h3>Position Overview</h3><p>The Senior Helicopter A&P Mechanic is responsible for maintaining aircraft airworthiness and ensuring mission readiness at all times. This role supports daily inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, parts management, documentation, and coordination with maintenance leadership.</p><p>This position requires technical expertise, accountability, and the ability to operate in a high-responsibility aviation environment.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Review daily maintenance and inspection requirements to maintain aircraft airworthiness</li><li>Notify the Lead Mechanic of unusual situations requiring schedule adjustments, aircraft changes, additional manpower, or technical support</li><li>Oversee maintenance activities at assigned field bases</li><li>Monitor stock levels and requisition parts as necessary</li><li>Ensure safety and security of company assets at assigned locations</li><li>Prepare reports, requisitions, inventories, and certify aircraft logs and inspection forms in compliance with FAA and manufacturer requirements</li><li>Complete maintenance records and system entries accurately</li><li>Maintain communication with the Lead Mechanic, AMBS, and relevant personnel to ensure timely task completion</li><li>Manage parts inventory and recommend level adjustments</li><li>Maintain company-provided tools and ensure proper calibration schedules</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>High School Diploma required</li><li>FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings required</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience as a certified aircraft mechanic</li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills in airframe and powerplant systems</li><li>Strong communication and computer skills</li><li>Ability to pass pre-placement physical exam, drug screening, and background check</li><li>For roving maintenance team members, sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting experience required</li><li>Ability to travel frequently, sometimes on short notice</li><li>Ability to work night shifts as required</li></ul><h3>Schedule & Location</h3><ul><li>7 and 7 schedule</li><li>Must live within one hour or 60 miles of the assigned base</li><li>Travel between bases required</li></ul><h3>Compensation & Benefits</h3><ul><li>Competitive compensation based on experience</li><li>Shift bonuses and incentives</li><li>Annual safety and employee bonuses</li><li>Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for qualified new hires</li></ul><h3>Core Competencies</h3><ul><li>Commitment to safety and continuous improvement</li><li>Focus on efficiency and operational reliability</li><li>Dedication to quality and consistent performance</li><li>Strong service orientation toward customers, communities, and teammates</li></ul><h3>About STS Technical Services</h3><p>STS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm supporting aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, and defense organizations across the United States.
