Perform the duties of a Paying and Receiving Teller which include: Preparing the teller station by completing balancing sheets, counting cash in the drawer and signing on to the computer. Cash checks and pay out money after verifying that signatures are correct, that written and numerical amounts agree, and that accounts have sufficient funds.

Reports to the designated bank officer. Responsible for the accurate and efficient performance of a wide variety of teller functions for Bank customers and potential customers.DUTIES<ul><li>Greet all customers and assist them by completing the required banking transaction(s) in a prompt, accurate, and courteous manner.</li><li>Cash checks and pay out money after verifying that signatures are correct, that written and numerical amounts agree, and that accounts have sufficient funds.</li><li>Examine checks for endorsements and verify other information such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments and the legality of the documents.</li><li>Resolve customer transactions, which are not consistent with Bank policy or outside of teller authority through the appropriate procedures.</li><li>Respond to customer account inquiries.</li><li>Identify and pursue selling and cross-selling opportunities with Bank customers and prospective customers.</li><li>Provide assistance to other personnel during peak hours.</li><li>Assist customers both on the telephone and in the Bank with balance information, account inquiries and telephone transfers. Assist loan customers with loan and payoff information, amount of loan payment due and line of credit balances.</li><li>Reconcile a variety of bank reports on a weekly and/or monthly basis as needed.</li><li>Explain, promote, or sell products or services such as travelers' checks, savings bonds, money orders, and cashier's checks, using computerized information about customers to tailor recommendations.</li><li>Perform clerical tasks such as typing and filing.</li><li>Perform the duties of a Paying and Receiving Teller which include:</li><li>Preparing the teller station by completing balancing sheets, counting cash in the drawer and signing on to the computer.</li><li>Accepting and processing account deposits and withdrawals.</li><li>Issuing Cashier checks, Travelers checks and money orders.</li><li>Processing commercial deposits and order for change.</li><li>Cashing checks for banking customers and/or checks issued to our customers.</li><li>Balancing cash assigned to the teller station daily and completing the closing transactions.</li><li>It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within their capabilities as determined by management.</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of Windows based software, ability to use a personal computer and 10 key by touch and be detail oriented and highly accurate. Previous experience handling cash in a customer service environment preferred. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
