We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Project Estimator! Gpac, a 30 year-old recruitment company, is partnered with a well-established company in the Mechanical industry. This is your chance to join a team that values both exceptional service and a friendly working environment.The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of mechanical systems in projects and evaluating the cost and schedule required to perform a project. The candidate will become familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li> </li><li>Ability to manage mechanical bid process including general conditions, HVAC, process piping and ducting, millwrighting, and structural steel</li><li>Perform cost comparison and analysis</li><li>Recruit and maintain relationships with quality reliable trade contractors, vendors, and suppliers</li><li>Estimate cost of all mechanical plans including accurate quantity take-offs</li><li>Develop schedules and task durations</li><li>Willingness to learn and adapt to new construction methods and markets</li><li>Establish and monitor budgets for all construction phases</li><li>Help identify cost-saving techniques, materials, and procedures</li><li>Monitor plan changes</li><li>Estimate prices of all changes</li><li>Manage subcontractor solicitations as needed</li><li>Experience drafting subcontractor scopes of work</li><li>Ability to read and understand Contract Drawings and Specifications</li><li>Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process</li><li>Assist with creating submittals and coordinate with project managers during pre-construction phase</li></ul> QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li> </li><li>10 years of construction experience preferred</li><li>Travel to job sites as needed</li><li>Ability to work evenings or weekends if needed</li><li>Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans</li></ul> WHAT WE OFFER:<ul><li> </li><li>Competitive salary based on experience.</li><li>401(k) plan with generous matching.</li><li>Dental and vision insurance for you and your family.</li><li>Health insurance coverage.</li><li>Paid time off to relax, recharge, and spend time with loved ones</li></ul> If you are ready to join a dynamic and customer-focused team in the Mechanical Industry, do not miss out on this opportunity!
