Assists the Business Office Manager in maintaining accurate and up to date records of business office functions, including accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), admissions and census numbers, resident insurance information and financial files, bank deposits, petty cash, and resident trust accounts. Maintains entry level knowledge of skilled nursing insurance billing, including Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, HMOs, and co-insurance, and stays apprised of industry changes regarding covered charges and billing best practices.
