Carpenters will work with doors, hardware, trim, cabinetry, ceiling materials, and millwork, as well as build rough wooden structures like forms, scaffolds, supports, and shelters based on blueprints or instructions. Additional duties include erecting scaffolding, installing ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways, as well as installing subflooring or welding steel components.
