This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage relationships with vendors and customers<h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3>Parts Department Operations<ul><li>Oversee the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficient processes for ordering, stocking, and distributing parts.</li><li>Maintain accurate and organized inventory records, tracking parts availability and ensuring that stock levels meet the needs of the service department and retail customers.</li><li>Coordinate with service technicians and advisors to ensure the timely availability of parts for repairs and maintenance.</li></ul>Inventory Management<ul><li>Monitor inventory levels and adjust stock as needed to prevent shortages or excess inventory.</li><li>Manage the ordering of parts from vendors, ensuring timely deliveries and minimizing downtime for the service department.</li><li>Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and address discrepancies.</li><li>Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses, ensure accurate stock levels, and optimize storage space.</li></ul>Vendor & Supplier Relations<ul><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with parts suppliers and manufacturers, negotiating pricing and terms to ensure favorable agreements for the dealership.</li><li>Track and resolve any issues with part orders, such as delays, incorrect shipments, or defective parts.</li><li>Stay updated on new product offerings, promotions, and changes in supplier policies to keep the dealership informed and competitive.</li></ul>Team Leadership & Development<ul><li>Lead, train, and manage a team of parts department staff, including parts counter personnel and inventory specialists.</li><li>Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training on parts systems and customer service, and develop team members to ensure a high-performing parts department.</li><li>Set goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the parts team and monitor performance.</li></ul>Customer Service & Sales<ul><li>Provide excellent customer service to both internal (technicians) and external (retail) customers, ensuring that parts inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally.</li><li>Assist customers in identifying the correct parts for their RVs, offering expertise and guidance.</li><li>Implement strategies to increase parts sales, both at the retail counter and through the service department, including upselling accessories, add-ons, and upgrades.</li></ul>Financial Management<ul><li>Prepare and manage the parts department's budget, focusing on profitability and cost control.</li><li>Monitor sales performance, pricing strategies, and gross profit margins to ensure the parts department meets financial goals.</li><li>Analyze parts sales trends and customer demand to identify opportunities for growth and to optimize stock.</li></ul>Reporting & Compliance<ul><li>Maintain accurate records of parts sales, returns, and warranty claims, ensuring compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines.</li><li>Generate reports on inventory turnover, sales performance, and parts profitability, providing insights to dealership leadership.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations related to parts storage, handling, and disposal.</li></ul>Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and best practices in parts management to improve department efficiency.</li><li>Implement process improvements to streamline parts operations and enhance the overall customer experience.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Previous experience as a Parts Manager or in a similar role in the RV, automotive, or related industry.</li><li>Strong knowledge of RV parts, accessories, and systems, with the ability to identify and source necessary components.</li><li>Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.</li><li>Strong leadership and team development abilities.</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues effectively.</li><li>Proficient in parts management software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms.</li><li>Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, sales forecasting, and profit analysis.</li></ul><h3>Education:</h3><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional technical certifications or a degree in business, automotive/RV technology, or related field preferred.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses</li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>401(k) with company match</li><li>Paid time off and holidays</li><li>Opportunities for ongoing training and career advancement</li></ul><h3>Join Our Growing Team!</h3>At Fun Town RV, we value our employees and provide opportunities for career advancement in an exciting, fast-growing industry.
