Tasks include, but are not limited to, handle tow operation, shoveling, reservations, and sales. Maintain and work closely with other departments, such as Activity Center, Lift Maintenance and Patrol. REQUIREMENTS: Must be available for weekends and holidays. Must be 19 years of age. Modified position may be available for 17-18 years of age. Background check is required for this position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Contribute to the overall vision, direction and implementation of Hermits Hollow by performing the following: <ul><li>Maintain a friendly and outgoing attitude.</li><li>Operate and maintain rope tow, tubes, and tubing lanes.</li><li>Promote safety at all times.</li><li>Assist and coach guests through their adventures.</li><li>Work closely with other staff to provide a great guest experience.</li><li>Operate a sales till. Be accurate and consistent with cash handling.</li><li>Keep work areas and merchandise clean and presentable.</li><li>Become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain facilities.</li><li>Perform other duties assigned.</li></ul>PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Will walk/ stand over uneven snow covered surfaces up to 10 hours. Will lift, pull, or push up to 40 pounds frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist and reach above shoulder level frequently. Worksite is exposed to all moisture levels and temperature changes. 100% outside with some indoor work. Hazards are mechanical, electrical, burns, ice and snow. All sensory skills are required JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Excellent people/ relationship building skills. Cash handling experience and bookkeeping skills preferred. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Computer skills with Microsoft Office required. ATTRIBUTES: Detailed, accurate, organized and a great attitude. Excellent rapport with guests. Attention to cleanliness in the workplace. Ability to create a fun and entertaining environment while maintaining all safety standards. Ability to evaluate and make decisions regarding conditions and guest safety. EDUCATION: English reading, writing and communication skills. Some college preferred. EXPERIENCE: Guest service experience. Winter Sports enthusiast and knowledge of mountain environment preferred. UNIFORM: Company uniform will be provided. Must provide own gloves, hat, helmet and goggles. APPEARANCE STANDARDS: Schweitzer Mountain upholds the following appearance standards: <ul><li>Jewelry must be kept to a minimum. Jewelry in visible piercings are limited to:</li></ul>• In the facial area (eyebrow or side nostril) which is either a stud or a ring no larger than ½ inch. No rings in noses, please-studs are acceptable. • Only studs or rings smaller than ½ inch can be used on the upper ear. Large hoops or gauges on the lower ear may present a safety issue. • If you have piercings in your mouth/lips/cheeks etc. you will be asked to use a clear nylon stud or other low-visibility item while you are on-duty. <ul><li>Tattoos: At no time can tattoos that may offend guests or co-workers be visible.</li><li>Cosmetics and perfume/cologne should be kept to a minimum</li><li>Hair should be worn so as not to cover eyes or facial features. Facial hair must be kept clean.
