JOB RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Analyze contracts, policies, applicable law and facts/circumstances surrounding claims to determine appropriate coverage position, and to resolve claims on reasonable terms and at an appropriate value.   </li><li>Responsible for conducting/managing factual claims investigation, including communications with policyholders, remediation experts, counsel and others to gather all claim facts.</li><li>Negotiate cost sharing agreements with carriers/policyholders.</li><li>Assign defense counsel, and manage litigation strategy and budgets. </li><li>Evaluate claims and make recommendations to management regarding claim resolution plans.</li><li>Maintain physical/electronic claim file, and claim information captured in claim systems. </li><li>Respond to internal requests for information from management, reinsurers, auditors, etc.</li><li>Prepare timely and accurate reports to management regarding significant claim developments.</li><li>Provide the highest levels of service to Chubb business partners.</li><li>Some travel may be required.</li></ul>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS <ul><li>High degree of technical competence in the handling of high exposure claims and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience – emphasis in the areas of asbestos and/or environmental claims preferred but not required. </li><li>4 year college degree.</li><li>Law degree preferred.</li></ul> DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Experience directly managing defense counsel.</li><li>Experience managing disputed/litigated coverage matters.</li><li>Experience interpreting and analyzing the application of general liability policies.</li><li>Analytical skills.</li><li>Superior oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to effectively utilize claim and financial tracking systems.</li><li>Organization and time management skills.</li><li>Experience in a work environment that required collaboration across work groups.</li><li>Significant knowledge of Excel and data management tools.</li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office utilities.</li></ul>The pay range for the role is $92,500 to $158,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. Handling an open desk with Repped/unrepped and Litigated/unlitigated for MA, DE, WV, and possibly another state.  Requirements: <ul><li>Experience required; MA, DE, WV, or another state.  </li><li>This role manages an open desk with Lost Time claims  </li><li>Including: Repped & Unrepped, Litigated, & Non-Litigated.    </li><li>125 Pending on desk.  </li><li>One positions available, for 3 + months duration. </li><li>Full-time shift, M-F 37.5 hours a week. </li></ul>
