The person hired for this role will have excellent customer service/communication skills as they will be working with customer service, truckers, and other shipping personnel directly from our customers. The Production Scheduler is responsible for scheduling and forecasting shipping and trucking needs for Coburg operations. This is a full-time, permanent, direct hire role with a highly competitive starting pay rate, second-to-none benefits, and a high ceiling for growth!  Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manage the flow of work and materials from customer order to product shipment.</li><li>Provide overall leadership for product shipment.</li><li>Act as a key contact for the customer service department.</li><li>Ensure on time production delivery to customers by working with trucking companies to fulfill customer needs.</li><li>Minimize shipping costs when scheduling deliveries.</li><li>Work with management and customer service to ensure appropriate scheduling and availability of resources to meet all production plans and customer orders.</li><li>Distribute work orders and schedule production assets in the most efficient way.</li><li>Direct all inbound and outbound logistics with detailed planning and routing.</li><li>Apply knowledge in capacity planning, supply/demand systems to drive disciplined systems, robust processes, and focused standardization of best practices.</li><li>Develop and implement tools to evaluate inventory levels and recommend strategies for inventory control.
