Summary of Key Duties for the Orion Fluids Systems Integration/Test Engineer: • Perform various duties including modifying, updating, creating and/or developing weld-related manufacturing work instructions. • Determines the sequence of build, selecting or designing required tools, and solves production problems during the build of mechanical piece parts and assemblies. • Assists in investigating design/manufacturing factors such as equipment or part availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and large assembly management. • Develops and maintains all assembly documentation. • Troubleshoot/correct anomalies and discrepant hardware. • Performs producibility reviews on engineering designs/drawings to assess manufacturability, ease of assembly, and material availability. • Provide technical support and oversight of production personnel while performing the manufacturing process in an ISO class 7 cleanroom environment. • Routinely interfaces with program personnel and reports project status to leadership. • Availability to adjust their schedule accordingly to support off-shifts and weekend activities as needed. #SpaceVets #ATLO Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree (Mechanical/Aerospace/Manufacturing Engineering preferred). • Knowledge of production manufacturing and assembly processes. • Experienced in the review of engineering drawings. • Strong communication including technical writing. • Ability to read, analyze and interpret various technical procedures and reports. Ability to write reports and keep accurate documentation. • Advanced Skills in the Microsoft Office software suite. <div>Our Client, an Aerospace company, is looking for a Technician - Integration Engineering III for their Merritt Island, FL location.   Responsibilities:<ul><li>Manufacture, assemble, and test New Glenn (GS1) First Stage & Second Stage structure.</li><li>Setup new production work areas, including tooling and equipment.</li><li>Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles.</li><li>Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections to engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.</li><li>Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance.</li><li>Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.</li><li>Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment, truck-trailer combinations and other ground support equipment as required.</li><li>Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, height gauges and optical measuring instruments.</li><li>Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD</li><li>Ability to work off-shift, extended overtime, and weekends if/when vital.</li><li>Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission and vision.</li><li>Work collaboratively with teams of diverse skills, fields, and background</li><li>Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.</li></ul>  Requirements<ul><li>5 to 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing & aerospace structures (Sheetmetal) </li><li>Experience in Drilling Aluminum, Composite & Titanium structures</li><li>Experience in at least one of the following is required: Heavy (Primary Structures drilling experience) (Secondary Structures drilling experience)</li><li>Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, understands written work instructions and test procedures.</li><li>Work collaboratively with teams of diverse skills, fields, and backgrounds</li><li>Communicate clearly and appropriately, in writing and in person.</li><li>Basic digital literacy such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.</li><li>Climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas.</li><li>Work at Heights on work stands and in lifts.</li><li>Perform repetitive work, including lifting of items up to 35lbs.</li><li>Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field or (Airframe License).</li><li>Proven success as a “hands-on” technical leader</li><li>Work optimally with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities</li><li>Continuous improvement attitude.
