Responsibilities:
<ol><li>Consistently strives to provide timely and consistent work focused toward high quality patient care. Evaluates projects according to such criteria as productivity, project preparation, cost effective use of space and customer prioritization.</li><li>Develops with applicable collaborators and implements policies and procedures for facilities design standards and furnishings.</li><li>Administers, inspects and accepts work performed by contract, approves payments of contracts and invoices as applicable.</li><li>Maintain space utilization data, running quarterly reports to ensure space efficiency goals are met. Maintains documentation of compliance and maintains and improves the space management database for tracking of allocated space, cost reporting, and leasing activities. Responsible for measurement of quality and reporting of same. Ensures the maintenance of the hospital's space inventory program which provides information on departmental areas and facilities for reimbursement purposes.</li><li>Supervises the establishment of standards for furniture, equipment, art work, graphics, signage, finishes, etc., in conjunction with other Facilities Leadership. Ensures standards comply with applicable federal, state and municipal regulations, codes and professional guidelines.</li><li>Utilizes the participation of internal and external consulting with the goal of integrating and maximizing the contributions of participants. Participates with other professionals in Facilities Management in the processing of bids and awarding of contracts to consultants such as designers, engineers, and architects and to vendors and contractors. Makes recommendations for action and submits initial plans, timetables, and project estimates for purposes of consultation and approval.</li><li>Consults with customers, responds to their requests and changing criteria in a timely manner to ascertain needs and plans for work space and determines projects scope, criteria and resources. Assigns available resources to resolve problems identified during the evaluation process. Negotiates changes in plans as needed.</li><li>Supports in the development of initial planning and conceptualization of hospital building plans, reconstruction and alterations. Creates and manages project estimates and budgets as needed.</li><li>Evaluates all hospital and healthcare departmental space programs prior to commencement of schematic design.</li><li>Collaborates with leadership in establishing priority of requests according to organizational objectives. Revises priorities in response to the changing hospital environment.</li><li>As part of the Facilities Management team, collaborates with other divisional managers to resolve issues and concerns within the facility relative to service quality, planning, construction, and cost.</li><li>Represents the Design and Construction Department at meetings and on committees with the goal of establishing relationships with customers within the hospital and participating in the decision-making process on issues relating to space planning and design</li><li>Maintains confidentiality of all designated information. Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelors of Science (Masters Preferred) with major studies in architecture, engineering, construction or appropriately related field of experience.</li><li>10+ years of relevant experience.</li><li>Appropriate professional registrations and certifications preferred.</li><li>Excellent communication skills is essential.</li><li>Experience with real estate legal documents, including reviewing, negotiating, and coordinating with attorneys for the Hospital on the same.</li></ul>

This position will support rapid scoping of Eversource Transmission line modifications and upgrades required by proposed third party generation projects. To scope a project, the successful candidate will read system impact studies provided by ISO New England, review site plans provided by the interconnecting party, and review existing Eversource computer models, inspection photographs, drawings and other records in order to evaluate required system modifications. The successful candidate may also function in a similar role in support of Eversource strategic development projects requiring Transmission line upgrades or modifications. Some exposure to the design, construction, maintenance and operation of Transmission Lines on the Eversource System in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts (CT/WMA) will be given. This will build familiarity with design codes, theories, and the relevant software packages. Specific duties include: design and analysis of overhead transmission lines, design of line supporting structures, foundation designs, clearance evaluations, development of documentation for regulatory and siting agencies (including drawings, reports, interrogatory responses, etc.), representation of Transmission Line and Civil Engineering (TL&CE) in industry, legal and regulatory proceedings, and other duties as required. This position will report to a CT/WMA Massachusetts Overhead Lead Engineer of Transmission Line & Civil Engineering. ## Essential Functions: _Support of Interconnection and Strategic Projects:_ + Support in drafting documents for the initiation of projects including estimates, project justifications and scopes, full project initiation submittals, drawings, photographs, etc. + Coordinate with Eversource Substation Engineering, Eversource Interconnections, generation developers and other stakeholders to produce consistent and constructible interconnection designs. + Support of conceptual and preliminary design of overhead transmission line upgrades or modifications using PLS-CADD and associated software. + Development and oversight of design details, specifications, material lists, drawing packages to be issued for procurement of transmission materials and construction of transmission facilities. + Support the documentation of newly constructed or modified Transmission Line facilities. _Support of Maintenance and Operations groups at Eversource Energy:_ + Support the maintenance and operation of Transmission Line facilities on the Eversource System with engineering analysis + Review external uses of Eversource rights-of-way against Eversource Standards + Analyze data from the field about the condition of Transmission Line Assets and provide technical guidance regarding replacement and/or remediation. + Assist other organizations within Eversource with information and guidance regarding transmission facilities.
