The DMPK&M oncology modeling group develops mechanistic mathematical models of drug candidates and their effects on cancer using in vitro and animal data in order to translate preclinical findings into clinical projections of target patient population, biomarker modulation, and dose-response relationships. This summer internship project seeks to address these issues by setting up a semi-automated user-friendly tumor assessment system that considers humane censoring and individual mouse tumor volume trajectories to produce a quick, consistent and unbiased estimate of the effect of Takeda discovery lead molecules on tumor growth dynamics.
