As a Brand Social Media Intern, my objective is:Support the Brand Team in planning and producing engaging, authentic social media content that strengthens Simantel’s brand presence, highlights company culture and supports ongoing brand marketing initiatives. This internship provides a paid opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in social media content creation and brand marketing within a fast-paced agency environment. Interns will collaborate with experienced professionals, contribute to real work that impacts the agency’s brand presence and build confidence in their creative and communication skills. Why Intern at Simantel?<ul><li>Opportunity to learn and grow in your field of interest</li><li>Direct contact with leadership</li><li>Mentorship with experienced Simantelites</li><li>Fun, fast-paced environment where it’s all about the people</li><li>Potential to secure a permanent position upon graduation</li></ul>As a Brand Social Media Intern, my objective is:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Support the Brand Team in planning and producing engaging, authentic social media content that strengthens Simantel’s brand presence, highlights company culture and supports ongoing brand marketing initiatives</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Capture and produce short-form video content for social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Edit video content and write post captions optimized for engagement and platform performance</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Design static graphics and carousel content for social media use on platforms including Instagram and LinkedIn</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Photograph employee events, office culture moments and internal activities for brand storytelling purposes</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Execute against a pre-developed social media content calendar while maintaining attention to deadlines and priorities</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Conduct competitor and social trend research to identify content opportunities and emerging best practices</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Collaborate with team members to proactively source employees, stories and moments that support brand visibility and engagement</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Support the team in maintaining a consistent and authentic social media presence across channels</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Meet with team members, as required, to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned projects</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Eagerly share and exchange thoughts and ideas with others in a positive and supportive manner</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Manage schedules and priorities to meet deadlines</li></ul>The outcomes I need to produce for the agency are:<ul><li>Successfully complete assigned social media and content production tasks</li><li>Contribute to a consistent and engaging social media presence for the Simantel brand</li><li>Demonstrate creativity and strong storytelling through video, photography and graphic design</li><li>Produce content that reflects Simantel’s culture, values and personality</li><li>Showcase strong communication and collaboration skills while working with employees and internal teams</li><li>Demonstrate attention to detail, organization and the ability to execute efficiently in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Provide thoughtful ideas informed by social trends, competitor research and audience engagement opportunities</li><li>Demonstrate an increased comprehension of brand marketing, content strategy and social media execution within an agency environment</li></ul>To produce these outcomes, I need to:<ul><li>Be a team player</li><li>Ask questions!</li><li>Contribute ideas</li><li>Possess strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Have a proactive and creative mindset</li><li>Have a positive attitude</li><li>Have strong attention to detail</li><li>Be comfortable engaging with employees and collaborating with others</li><li>Have a mindset for continual learning opportunities</li></ul> The skills and abilities I require are:<ul><li>Pursuing a Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Graphic Design or related major (or relevant coursework)</li><li>Experience capturing and editing content using iPhone or similar mobile tools</li><li>Familiarity with short-form video editing for social media platforms</li><li>Working knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator or Canva preferred</li><li>Experience or knowledge of social media scheduling platforms, like Sprout Social, a bonus</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments simultaneously</li><li>Energy and enthusiasm for social media, content creation and brand storytelling</li><li>Integrity, reliability and professionalism</li></ul> Schedule for the Summer Internship (flexible and agreed upon with hiring manager):<ul><li>Working schedule to be no more than 28/hours per week in-person at our Peoria, IL office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays between hours of 8am-5pm</li><li>Average hours expected to be 15-20 hours/week</li><li>Times to be discussed, with flexibility to work Mondays/Fridays as needed or desired</li></ul>The application deadline to apply is May 29th, 2026.
