The Engineer is responsible for maintaining all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and associates. Perform routine maintenance and repair of hotel equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry tasks.

<h3>Job Title: Engineer</h3>Location: Wyndham Garden Pittsburgh Airport, PA Department: Engineering/Maintenance Reports To: General Manager / Chief Engineer<h3>Position Summary</h3>The Engineer is responsible for maintaining all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and associates. This includes performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs to uphold Wyndham brand standards and ensure operational efficiency.<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Perform routine maintenance and repair of hotel equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry tasks.</li><li>Conduct daily inspections of building systems, guest rooms, and public areas to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.</li><li>Respond quickly to guest and staff maintenance requests with professionalism and courtesy.</li><li>Maintain preventive maintenance logs and ensure timely completion of scheduled PMs on guest rooms and equipment.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety, health, and fire regulations.</li><li>Maintain the appearance and operation of hotel facilities including lighting, paint, fixtures, and grounds.</li><li>Assist with emergency procedures such as fire alarms, evacuations, and power outages.</li><li>Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs or inspections.</li><li>Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; submit requisitions when needed.</li><li>Support other departments when needed to ensure optimal guest satisfaction.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical certification in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years' experience in hotel or facility maintenance.</li><li>Working knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).</li><li>Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions (indoors/outdoors, heights, confined spaces).</li><li>Must be available to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and evenings.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Skills</h3><ul><li>EPA Universal Certification for HVAC handling (preferred but not required).</li><li>Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and Maintenance Tracking Systems.</li><li>Knowledge of OSHA and local building codes.</li></ul><h3>Physical Requirements</h3><ul><li>Stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.</li><li>Perform manual labor tasks as needed.</li><li>Ability to respond to emergency calls during or after work hours.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Competitive compensation based on experience.</li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance.</li><li>Paid time off and hotel discounts.</li><li>Opportunity for career growth within the Wyndham portfolio.</li></ul>
