Getting requests from various groups (transmission planning group, for example) to get estimate for (interconnection of new generator, for example) and look at it from transmission point of view, do high level estimates, based on tools used, talking with transmission design groups to get input on assumptions of estimates, outputting estimate (taking into account labor cost, material needed, location, how close to coast, etc.) to come up with estimates to be used for budgetary purposes, study justification purposes, getting approvals from state regulatory folks, Ercot, PUC. Day to Day responsibilities:Design transmission facilities, prepare project cost estimates, PLS-CADD modeling, and prepare SAP work orders in support of transmission, substation, telecommunication, and distribution capital projects .
