In partnership with our client, a local consulting engineering firm, we are seeking a local Mechanical Project Engineer to support heavy industrial capital projects near Birmingham/Tuscaloosa, AL. Must be local to the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa area. This is a project-based engineering support assignment with an expected duration of 9-12 months with the opportunity to go direct with the client.Experience Requirement: 5 or more years’ experience of Project Management in Construction and/or Engineering, including cost estimating, on-site construction supervision and management; scheduling and planning; cost controls; implementing and monitoring quality control & safety programs. Under the direction of the Senior Project Engineering. The Mechanical Engineer will work with a Project Engineering Team to review drawings, manage the structural installation and subcontractors.Responsibilities include the following:<ul><li>Lead projects in the Mechanical and Civil engineering area oriented to industrial environment.</li><li>Will be working with multi-discipline engineering team, have internal and external clients and interact with other inter-company departments.</li><li>Define the scope of supply and prepare technical bid package.</li><li>Skilled in wording technical specifications related to reinforced concrete foundations, steel structures, soil investigations, roads and site development; evaluation and analysis of bid results.</li><li>Perform site surveys for water and sewer conversions.</li><li>Coordinate waste, storm and domestic water activities as well as pump station/grinder pump capacities.</li><li>Planning and scheduling abilities; budget preparation and management.</li><li>Comprehension and application of the industry standard codes such as IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE, CRSI, ADA and OSHA.</li></ul>Required Skills:<ul><li>Highly motivated engineer</li><li>Successful project management experience</li><li>Ability to coordinate multiple projects</li><li>Effective verbal communication</li><li>Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Microsoft Project schedule</li><li>AutoCAD</li></ul>Education/Training Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor level degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering is highly desired along with 5+ years of proven experience in Civil Engineering in a heavy industrial environment.</li><li>Applicants without a BS in Engineering must have 10+ years of hands-on applicable heavy industry engineering and capital expansion experience.</li></ul>ResourceTek offers industry leading compensation and benefits. The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing jobs involving servicing and repair of equipment, working both independently and on a team in various field locations.

The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing jobs involving servicing and repair of equipment, working both independently and on a team in various field locations.  Examples of the types of machinery that the candidate must be able to evaluate and repair diesel engines, gas engines, electric power generators and transfer switches.  Extensive on the job training, classroom instruction, and e-learning must be successfully completed to remain in the technician training program.  They will demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner.  They will advance in Classification as attitude, skill level, and job performance allows.Essential Responsibilities & Expectations<ul><li>Plans and performs minor repairs using correct tools and procedures</li><li>Orders and return parts for assigned jobs in timely manner</li><li>Ability to perform the following tasks on basic components in work area including engine, hydraulic, transmission, and electrical components: remove and install; disassemble and reassemble; perform minor adjustments</li><li>Ability to perform Preventive Maintenance service according to factory guidelines</li><li>Demonstrates proper use of service information systems</li><li>Works as helper in field service with experienced Technician as required</li><li>Adheres to and follows all applicable and required safety standards and procedures</li><li>Works independently in the field as required</li></ul>
