High school student jobs do not normally have a required minimum level of education, but they may require certain skills. For instance, a person might need to prove that he or she has certain skills to get a position, like the ability to give change. Also, because education is not really a requirement, skills are given more weight. For instance, a formal wear store looking to hire a high school student to work with brides and prom gowns is going to have more preference for someone who is friendly and personable than someone who has already graduated high school.
