The teacher will foster academic and personal excellence, collaborate with team members, and participate in ongoing professional development. Responsibilities include planning lessons aligned with standards, using assessments to guide instruction, maintaining classroom order, implementing PBIS, differentiating instruction, managing records, and integrating technology. The role involves communicating with parents, participating in student planning meetings, and adhering to policies and regulations. The teacher will also support students' behavioral and academic needs, including accommodations for IEPs and 504 plans, and contribute to school committees and projects. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, valid Minnesota teaching license, and proficiency in technology and data analysis. The Summer Teacher position for Upward Bound / Upward Bound Math & Science involves delivering instruction in core subjects such as math, science, English, or foreign languages during a five-week summer program from June 15 to July 17, 2026. Teachers will work in two- or three-week blocks, with schedules coordinated by the UB / UBMS Academic Coordinator. Compensation ranges from $25 to $35 per hour based on experience. Responsibilities include providing academic instruction, assessing student progress, promoting personal and academic growth, enforcing rules, and serving as positive role models. Teachers must adapt lessons, manage classrooms, respond to emergencies, and communicate effectively with staff. Preferred qualifications include a four-year degree in the subject area, experience with low-income or first-generation youth, teaching experience, and effective communication skills. Experience with Upward Bound programs and organizational skills are also valued.

Compensation & Perks Package:
