<p>Grede is seeking a Plant Accountant to join the Finance team at the Meadville, PA location. The Plant Accountant will prepare financial reports to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.<br/>Duties & Responsibilities:<br/></p><ul><li>Prepare reports and statements related to plant financial matters and ensure quality and timeliness of entry to corporate accounting and plant operating departments. </li><li>Assist in providing accurate period and year-end closing activities. </li><li>Maintain fixed asset accounts. </li><li>Prepare and assess fixed asset capital requests. </li><li>Complete monthly account reconciliations. </li><li>Review plant payables and receivables to ensure compliance with budget. </li><li>Prepare for and participate in all internal and external accounting related audits. </li><li>Assist in annual financial audits. </li><li>Analyze data to support business decision making. </li><li>Gather financial data and maintain financial reports, records, general ledgers, and account structure. </li><li>Back up for accounts payable and accounts receivable. </li><li>Support the corporate AP/AR team. </li><li>Assist the accounting team in ensuring timeliness and accuracy of financial statements. </li><li>Maintain standard costs and inventory valuation. </li><li>Analyze inventory quarterly and prepare reserve adjustments. </li><li>Assist with filings of taxes and other external reporting requirements. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul>Job Requirements: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. </li><li>Ability to multitask in fast paced, time sensitive environment. </li><li>Strong communication skills and effective communication with all levels of the organization. </li><li>Highly detail oriented and organized. </li></ul>
