That’s why we give you a wide range of benefits to choose from.  All regular full time employees may enroll in a variety of health and welfare plans including medical, dental and vision plans.  Other benefits include life insurance, disability coverage, employee assistance program, and retirement program.  The company also has a variety of voluntary benefits for employees to choose from.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10px 0px;border:1px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:18px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1em;margin:0px"><b>Compensation</b></h2></div><div></div></div><div style="padding:10px 0px;border:1px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:18px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1em;margin:0px"><b>Responsibilities</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>Plans and budgets operations</li><li>Responsible for mine planning, safety, environmental matters, cost control, production and maintenance</li><li>Works with Aggregates Manager in establishing and monitoring production plan; maintaining accurate cost and inventory control; calculating and analyzing productivity and material date</li><li>Understands the value of quality and ensures processes are in place to provide a quality product to our customers</li><li>Maintains duties related to MSHA regulations including accident investigation and reporting, safety meetings, training, etc.; actively engages with the employees to reinforce safe behaviors; ensures that safety, compliance and environmental requirements are followed</li><li>Oversees mobile equipment repair and maintenance</li><li>Documents production statistics and produces reports as required</li><li>Maintains working relationships with all departments to ensure work objectives are met</li><li>Develops plans to work towards improved performance and lower operating costs</li></ul></div></div><div style="padding:10px 0px;border:1px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:18px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1em;margin:0px"><b>Education</b></h2></div><div><p>Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent industry experience</p></div></div><div style="padding:10px 0px;border:1px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:18px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1em;margin:0px"><b>Requirements/Qualifications</b></h2></div><div><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing an aggregate and/or asphalt Operations, including ancillary functions such as yard production</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude</li><li>Demonstrable experience in all aspects of crushing, screening, washing, and stockpiling to produce high-quality construction aggregates</li><li>Experience in hard rock drill and blast mining operations</li><li>Strong analytical, communication, organizational and leadership skills</li><li>Personnel management experience (i.e., hiring and selection, performance reviews, discipline, & legal compliance requirements)</li><li>Familiar with systematic engineering thought process and problem solving</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint and Word)</li><li>Familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations regarding mining operations including MSHA, OSHA, Cal OSHA, and SMARA</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in a vertically integrated construction materials organization</li><li>Experience with SAP Financial System</li></ul></div></div><div style="padding:10px 0px;border:1px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:18px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1em;margin:0px"><b>Conditions of Employment</b></h2></div><div><p>Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
