Description:Title: Chief Lending OfficerLocation: AdaReports to: CEO Job Summary:The Chief Lending Officer has primary responsibility for all lending activities for the bank. Duties/Responsibilities: Loan Portfolio Growth and Management<ul><li> Maximize portfolio growth through effective planning, development, and execution of lending strategies.</li><li> Responsible for maintaining credit quality, loan structuring and pricing, in coordination with the Chief Credit Officer.</li><li> Ensure overall soundness of the loan portfolio, with the ability to identify and develop long term strategies that will include initiatives such as portfolio mix, portfolio concentrations, growth strategies, and market penetration objectives.</li></ul>Business Development<ul><li> Promote and develop new lending business.</li><li> Actively work to promote and solicit the bank's Treasury Management offerings; set expectations of lenders for commercial deposit generation.</li><li> Represent the bank in the community and be an active participant in community outreach initiatives.</li><li> Work with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns for lending.</li></ul>Credit Approval and Underwriting<ul><li> Review and approve loans as detailed in loan policy.</li><li> Chair the Senior Lender's Committee and co-chair the Loan Administration Committee.</li></ul>Strategic Growth<ul><li> Participate in executive level discussions and in making recommendations regarding major policy decisions on all aspects of lending strategies.</li><li> Develop and implement appropriate lending products and services which provide value to the customer.</li><li> Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors and other banks.</li></ul>Supervision<ul><li>Supervises the Ada, Shawnee, Durant, Norman, Sulphur, Davis, and Prague Market Presidents.</li><li>Supervises the SVP for Residential Real Estate Mortgage Lending.</li></ul>Requirements:Required Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>Strong knowledge and training in all lending activities and terminology.</li><li>Strong knowledge of/experience with commercial, construction, real estate, and consumer loan processing.</li><li>Proven ability to develop and maintain business and key relationships and drive a sales culture with the bank's lenders.</li><li>Strong knowledge of related state and federal lending and compliance regulations, and other Bank lending policies.</li><li>Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple variables in unusual situations.</li><li>Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.</li><li>Strong supervisory and leadership skills.</li><li>Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.</li><li>Ability to represent the bank in various community, civic and community functions to further the Bank's market position.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software; knowledge of or ability to master the bank's lending software.</li><li>Ability to adhere to, and lead others in, the bank's core values; Integrity, Enthusiasm, Accountability, Excellence, Customer First, Professionalism, and Respect.</li><li>Ability to adhere to, and lead others in, compliance with the letter and spirit of the bank's human resources policies and procedures.</li></ul>Supervisory Responsibilities:<ul><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to provide leadership, supervision, and training for designated employees using positive supervisory techniques to ensure maximum productivity; demonstrated ability in organization and delegation skills.</li><li>Monitors staff in daily tasks, operations, and quality control; ensures the organization of assigned areas of the bank, coordinating available resources for maximum results.</li><li>Supports team member performance by establishing annual goals, setting clear expectations, and providing continual coaching.</li><li>Create a culture of accountability that celebrates progress as well as outcomes.</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.</li><li>At least 15 years related experience in lending, business development, and underwriting.</li><li>At least 5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a senior leadership role.</li><li>Formal credit training preferred; graduate of a formal banking school or willingness and ability to attend required.</li></ul>Work Conditions:<ul><li>Full time position based in Ada, OK.</li><li>Officing in branch location may be considered with regular travel to Ada.</li><li>Travel to branch locations as well as meetings, training, and conferences.</li></ul>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
