Arkansans enjoy their weekends exploring the city’s attractions, festivals, and events. We also adventure through the hundreds of amazing outdoor activities throughout the area. With a National Airport reachable in a 15-minute drive, Little Rock is also a great place to live while also exploring the nation.Work Load:<ul><li>5 x 8 hours shifts or, 4 x 10 hour shifts</li><li>1-2 days per week in clinic, 8-12 patients per day.</li><li>2-3 days per week in the surgical center with 2-4 cases per day</li><li>Inpatient consult rotations, if needed.</li><li>8-10 days per month of very light consult call coverage.</li><li>Support from a full hospitalist team and residents.</li></ul>Comp & Benefits:<ul><li>Potential starting base salary range: $375,000 - $400,000</li><li>Yearly financial incentives range: $25,000 - $75,000</li><li>50+ Total paid days off per year</li><li>Freedom to moonlight at other facilities.</li><li>Relocation reimbursement offered.</li><li>No need for Malpractice.</li><li>The best health and life insurance benefits in the country.</li><li>Retirement pension, investment savings plan, and health benefits eligible after 5 years of employment.</li><li>Immigration Sponsorship if needed.</li><li>Potential Academic Appointment, based on service, CV, and references.</li></ul>Hiring Process: (as quickly as 8-16 weeks)<ul><li>Email current CV to CAVHS Physician Recruitment, michael.legate@va.gov</li><li>Complete screening qualification call, and provide references.</li><li>Complete service line phone interviews and site visits.</li><li>Accept offer and complete pre-employment steps.</li><li>Onboarding and Orientation.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>At least 1 state active medical license; no revoked, suspended, probation state licensures.</li><li>An MD or DO from an ACGME accredited institution; or evidence of an ECFMG certificate.</li><li>Completion of Residency Training.</li><li>Board Eligible in Neurosurgery Medicine.</li><li>Selective Service Registration is for males born after 12/31/1959.</li><li>Proficient in written and spoken English.</li><li>Non-ACGME residencies: must provide ECFMG and proof of 5 years residency, fellowship, and/or relevant practice experience in the USA in the field you are applying.</li></ul>Preferences:<ul><li>U.S. Citizenship; in accordance with VA Policy, non-citizens may be considered if no qualified US citizens are selected.</li><li>Board Certified in Neurosurgery Medicine.</li><li>Resident and Fellows Teaching experience.</li><li>Most recent past 3 years providing NeuroSpine services in a United States health system.</li></ul>
