Monday-Friday 7am-430pm PRIMARY FUNCTION: The primary function of a Customer Service Rep is to manage ongoing relationships with customers within a designated area by accepting freight, resolving issues, and maintaining customer requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Develop and maintain relationships with customers</li><li>Obtain and upkeep driver and company productivity goals are being met</li><li>Review a list on incoming trucks while speaking directly with customers to take load information and book freight on all available trucks</li><li>Ability to maintain assigned territory of customers</li><li>Maintain and log pre-booked freight that cannot be immediately assigned</li><li>Contact new and existing customers to solicit additional freight, as necessary to load trucks within the designated area</li><li>Research and resolve customer inquiries and problem</li><li>Effectively communicate with customers, sales, fleet managers, and other internal personnel</li><li>Participate in total quality management and process improvement teams</li><li>Utilize web-based technology to gather and track operation data</li><li>Enter customer data and shipping instructions into a computer database</li></ul>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>Four-year degree, preferably in Transportation and Logistics and/or relevant experience</li><li>Fluent in keyboard proficiency and 10-key</li><li>Ability to plan, organize, be attentive to detail and possess a strong problem-solving skill</li><li>Strong customer solicitation skills</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress</li><li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence</li></ul>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:<ul><li>Must be able to sit and use a telephone and computer simultaneously for extended periods of time</li><li>Must be able to speak and hear clearly in a high volume telephone environment</li></ul>
