In this vital role you will take the helm of costs, schedules, estimates, compliance, and risks on a dynamic portfolio of capital projects at one of Amgens premier manufacturing sites located in the West Greenwich, Rhode Island. This position will also bridge internal groups that support capital projects, including Engineering Technical Authority, Project Management, Facilities Management, Global Site Engineering, and Capital Finance, as well as various Amgen internal business partners to achieve stellar project success.The ideal candidate will possess technical and leadership skill to spearhead and collaborate with project controls cost managers, estimators, and schedulers both internally and through strategic alliances with our outside service providers.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>The Project Controls Senior Manager will guide projects from their inception to their completion.</li><li>Lead the preparation of essential project funding documents.</li><li>Contribute to creating precise estimates and benchmarks for projects.</li><li>Conduct thorough risk analysis reviews for cost estimates and forecasts.</li><li>Develop and manage comprehensive project cash flows.</li><li>Collaborate with procurement to develop detailed contract documents and incentive plans.</li><li>Review and analyze bids, change orders, invoices, and progress reports from engineers and contractors.</li><li>Monitor and control costs for both Amgen and external engineers/contractors.</li><li>Evaluate progress and forecast remaining work accurately.</li><li>Work with the Buying Center and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice payment issues.</li><li>Oversee the closeout process for contracts and purchase orders.</li><li>Provide important Front-End Planning content, including scope definition, estimate development, and schedule analysis.</li><li>Assist the Project Controls Director in creating project strategies and determining financing and resource needs.</li></ul>What we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
