Under the direct supervision of the Assistant/Associate Dean for Student Affairs (ADSA), the Student Affairs and Admissions Coordinators functions as an integral member of the Office of Student Affairs and supports essential goals for student recruitment, orientation, professionalization, and retention. Collaborate with SOP and University partners to ensure student access to academic and non-academic resources.

Shenandoah University’s Pharmacy Department is accepting applications for a Student Affairs and Admissions Coordinator. This is a full-time benefited position located in our Health Professions Building in Winchester, Virginia.Under the direct supervision of the Assistant/Associate Dean for Student Affairs (ADSA), the Student Affairs and Admissions Coordinators functions as an integral member of the Office of Student Affairs and supports essential goals for student recruitment, orientation, professionalization, and retention.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.<ul class="ul1"><li class="li1">Plan and execute student events, including community-building activities, awards ceremonies, and meals</li><li class="li1">Support student organizations and leadership development opportunities</li><li class="li1">Provide prospective students with accurate and relevant information on admissions criteria, interview procedures, and program requirements</li><li class="li1">Assist with prospective student information sessions, open houses, and recruitment events</li><li class="li1">Coordinate and schedule prospective student interviews for all School of Pharmacy (SOP) pathways</li><li class="li1">Collaborate with SOP and University partners to ensure student access to academic and non-academic resources</li><li class="li1">Perform administrative tasks as assigned, including responsibility for budget reconciliation</li></ul> Required Skills REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:<ul class="ul1"><li class="li2">Highly developed customer service/hospitality skills</li><li class="li3">Exceptional communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills</li><li class="li1">Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with a high level of independence</li><li class="li2">Good organization and problem-solving skills</li></ul>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:<ul class="ul1"><li class="li2">High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li class="li3">College degree relevant to position is strongly preferred, but not required</li><li class="li3">Experience in a higher education environment is preferred</li></ul>COMPUTER APPLICATION AND OTHER SKILLS:Ability to use the computer with knowledge of the following computer applications with training on additional software as needed in the job position:<ul class="ul1"><li class="li4">Proficient in software required to perform duties including Microsoft Office; Gmail; Google Docs, Drive and Google calendar; and Zoom</li><li class="li4">Ability to operate computer hardware/software, classroom technology, and other contemporary office equipment</li><li class="li4">Willingness and ability to learn new software as needed to perform duties</li></ul> How to Apply:The complete application will include a cover letter, resume, and contact information for three professional references.
