**Job Description**
 
**AECOM** is seeking an **Aviation Engineering Intern** to join our Aviation Civil Engineering team in **Tampa and West Palm Beach, Florida** .
 
Internships at AECOM offer students in undergraduate and graduate programs the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering, design, and infrastructure projects that make a real-world impact. Interns work with cutting-edge technology, learn industry best practices, and collaborate with experienced professionals in a globally recognized firm. The program fosters both technical and professional skill development while providing networking opportunities that can enhance future career prospects. Additionally, AECOM’s dedication to innovation and sustainability enables interns to contribute to meaningful projects that help shape communities and the built environment.

**The responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
 
+ Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
 
+ Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study
 
+ Intern 3 – completion of 3rd year of qualified study.
 
**Qualifications**
 
**Minimum Requirements:**
 
+ Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field focus in Transportation from an accredited university with the intent to continue enrollment after the internship and must have completed at least 3 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
 
+ Due to the nature of this position, US Citizenship is required.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $22.59 to $26.44.

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager, Practice Builder to expand our Aviation practice in Tampa, Florida!

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>The qualified individual will lead and expand an Aviation team and practice while building and managing relationships with key clients</li><li>Review design documents & drawings for airside and landside Aviation projects, including grading, drainage, pavement design, specifications, and construction safety plans</li><li>Prepare analysis reports in support of airport planning, design, and construction</li><li>Leadership responsibilities include:<ul><li>Operating with integrity and sound business principals</li><li>Providing vision, business planning and strategy</li><li>Establishing goals</li><li>Building and maintaining positive client relationships</li><li>Having open communication with your partners and team</li></ul></li><li>Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor</li><li>The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business</li><li>With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>10 years+ of relevant experience managing airport design and construction projects</li><li>Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license</li><li>Strong technical skills with AutoCAD Civil3D </li><li>Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work</li><li>Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization</li><li>Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage land development projects profitably</li></ul>
