Thompson Engineering is looking for qualified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technicians for various locations. This position is responsible for the daily oversight of the construction materials testing and inspection on construction sites to ensure specified standards of quality are met. Preferred candidates would need to be open to travel to various jobs sites and locations as required. DUTIES 1. Utilize a 40 lb. nuclear gauge to run tests on construction materials2. Obtain concrete samples from the ready mix trucks3. Make concrete test cylinders4. Run tests on concrete samples and deliver the samples to the laboratory5. Observe and record construction crew performance data for related activities6. Perform visual inspection of rebar7. Obtain and deliver soil samples from the jobsite to the laboratory8. Interact with clients and contractors in a professional and ethical manner9.
