The Maintenance & Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the departments’ efforts to accomplish organizational objectives. This key role will coordinate the planning and execution of improvements in equipment reliability, capital investment, and facility improvements. This role is located in Pine Hall, NC and will be fully on-site.  

Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Engineering Manager Responsibilities:<ul><li>Downtime: a. Lead maintenance teams to identify root causes of downtime events & drive permanent corrective actions. b. Track and maintain equipment downtime metrics. c. Coordinate scheduling of maintenance PMs across shifts & departments and drive to 100% completion and effectiveness. d. Ensure compliance to PM schedule and Run Time Inspection schedule through metric tracking & process audits. e. Work with operations to support & improve operator-based PM activities. f. Develop and lead predictive analysis efforts.</li></ul> <ul><li>Development and Staff: a. Develop the technical and behavioral skill-sets of the department through both internal and external training, auditing and appropriate metrics to drive improvement. b. Train & inform maintenance associates to understand metrics of the departments they support regarding safety, quality, delivery and costs. c. Direct electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic staff specialist.</li></ul> <ul><li>Capital Management: a. Responsible for implementation of capital projects exceeding $50mm to include vendor selection, equipment approval and equipment installation. b. Budget conformance to assigned projects. c. Serve as or provide technical resource for equipment in support of capital equipment purchases, modifications, and process development.</li></ul> Maintenance & Engineering Manager Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree preferred, but extensive industry experience considered.</li><li>5-10 years of industry experience; Maintenance / Engineering focus preferred.</li><li>Deals effectively with all levels of personnel, internal and external.</li><li>Strong analytical, engineering, or industry specific technical skills. </li></ul>

Responsibilities:
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:<ul><li>Supports Maintenance personnel with engineering and technical knowledge to assist in trouble shooting, repairs, training.</li><li>New Equipment Feasibility Analysis.</li><li>Uses AutoCAD/Siemens NX (3D program) or similar to develop concepts and designs for development of machine improvements.</li><li>Communicates orally and in writing with personnel at all levels regarding the technical details of new and existing machines. Such communication may include, but is not limited to: Analysis of machines, assemblies and component drawings and sketches that conform to drawing standards.</li><li>Inspects and acts on supplier-delivered materials/equipment that are out of specification.</li><li>Is instrumental in cost avoidance and cost reduction activities.</li><li>Assists maintenance in providing engineering information by answering questions and requests.</li><li>Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.</li><li>On-call status required when needed during times of emergencies or adverse conditions</li></ul> Mechanical Engineer Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or Associates degree from a technical school with three years of related experience and/or training.</li><li>At least 5 years in Mechanical Engineering and/or Maintenance department</li><li>Experience in mechanical design and development.</li><li>Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment – strong ability to multitask complex projects efficiently.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Strong work ethic, ability to work collaboratively, energetic and goal-oriented.</li><li>Knowledge of Auto CAD, Siemens NX (3D Software) or similar.</li></ul>
