This individual must provide daily updates, when necessary, regarding the status of the pharmacy to their superior and will be expected to work together with their executive to ensure all rules and regulations are being followed. Serving as a direct manager to the Manager of Inpatient Pharmacy Services, the Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services must be readily available to provide their assistance and guidance during any pressing and/or critical situation. This individual will also serve as a mentor to their team and must consistently work to ensure each patient is being treated with the upmost care.The Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services will be expected to oversee and provide indirect oversight to the pharmacy department while their team performs various and complex pharmaceutical processes and distribution. Equipped with cutting-edge technology within their pharmacy department, the Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services will be required to be well-versed in any and all clinical equipment utilized within their department. This individual will have 24/7 coverage of the pharmacy and must be easily accessible to offer their guidance and subject matter expertise. We have 4 inpatient hospitals located throughout Louisiana and each facility is staffed with a multidisciplinary treatment team. Treatment Provided at our Inpatient Hospitals: <ul><li>Stabilization of acute crisis conditions</li><li>Comprehensive and multidisciplinary evaluation</li><li>Medication management for behavioral health and physical needs</li></ul> Our Hospital-Intensive Outpatient Program is a premier full-service mental health program. Our highly trained, caring therapy staff provides comprehensive and confidential treatment to adults and seniors suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar, psychosis, changes in behaviors or other declines in functioning due to a mental health condition. The IOP can also assist with adults and seniors that have a substance use issue which may be caused by their mental health condition. Our Hospital-Intensive Outpatient Programs have 7 different locations throughout Louisiana that offer treatment to adults ages 18 and older. Must maintain current professional licensure and demonstrates proof to Human Resources annually.</li><li>	Certification in Basic Life Support required. </li><li>	Certification in non-violent crisis intervention. </li></ul> CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 1.	Support and implement the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Beacon Behavioral Health. 2.	Uphold and embody Beacon’s 5 Commandments for Exceptional Customer Service. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES <ul><li>	Responsible for providing for the social service needs of patients age 18 and older who are suffering from mental illness. </li><li>	Provides clinical individual, group and family therapy as ordered by the physician. </li><li>	Assesses and reassesses social and emotional factors in order to help the patient and family cope with problems in daily living to help them follow medical recommendations to maximize the client’s health condition.</li><li>	Counsels and communicates to patients/families/primary caregivers issues concerning the facilitation of the medical plan of treatment and discharge plan.</li><li>	Recognizes and utilizes community and family resources to assist the client in long-term plans for life in the community or to learn to live with the patient’s disability.</li><li>	Develop the patient’s plan of care within required time frames and with coordination of the other members of the multidisciplinary clinical team (nursing, physician, other therapists, patient, and the family) which addresses the psychosocial difficulties that may interfere with the health and wellness continuum. </li><li>	Begins the discharge planning process with each patient upon admission.</li><li>	Develops discharge plan in conjunction with multidisciplinary clinical team, patient and family/caregiver. </li><li>	Organizes and maintains a wide-range resource data set for the hospital to assist with proper discharge planning for patients. </li><li>	Provides resource information to other hospital personnel as needed.</li><li>	Develops, prepares and maintains individualized patient care progress records with accuracy, timeliness and according to policies, submits accurate documentation within mandated time frame. </li><li>	Keeps abreast of social work trends and knowledge, obtains required annual continuing education inservices. </li><li>	Participates in the hospital’s QAPI program when directed by Director of Social services.</li><li>	Completes psychosocial assessments on all newly assigned clients and within time frames as mandated by hospital policy and regulatory standards. </li><li>	Attends and participates in weekly treatment team meetings and makes adjustments to treatment plan accordingly.</li><li>	Ensures family contact, if applicable, is made with and documented in 24 hours of admission.</li><li>	Serves as a liaison in the community as needed.</li><li>	Adheres to hospital’s infection control and safety policies.</li><li>	Assists in crisis management as necessary.</li></ul> The above statements are only meant to be a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
