You will also serve as the primary customer contact on all new initiatives and high-level critical issues. What you'll do on a typical day: <ul><li>Lead a team of Transportation Analyst that manage daily and weekly shipping schedules and delivery/shipping appointments for customers</li><li>Ensure timely processing of customer deliveries to external service providers </li><li>Investigate and determine the root cause of all service failures; implement corrective actions whenever necessary</li><li>Develop training material around delivery release, scheduling, creation of shipping documents and labels according to customer specifications</li><li>Communicate with carriers and customer service associates in case of shipping challenges</li><li>Create Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) notifications and shipment updates using the customer portal</li><li>Maintain established levels of productivity and quality standards within a fast-paced environment</li><li>Collaborate with both internal and external business partners to maintain on time shipping requirements</li><li>Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements</li></ul>What you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you'll need: <ul><li>4 years of transportation experience</li><li>In-depth knowledge of the supply chain/logistics industry</li><li>Availability to travel occasionally</li></ul>It'd be great if you also have: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree </li><li>Experience working in a Warehouse or Distribution Center managing shipments</li><li>6 years of direct management experience</li><li>4 years of SAP experience</li><li>Experience with WMS and manifesting software as it relates to logistics applications</li><li>Project management skills and experience </li><li>Strong analytical and critical thinking skills</li><li>Proven leadership and collaboration skills with experience effectively supervising, mentoring and influencing employees</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Experience as a collaborative, innovative and strategic thinker </li><li>Solid customer relationship management skills</li></ul>This job requires the ability to: <ul><li>Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights up to 25 lbs.</li><li>Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time</li><li>Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel</li></ul>We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
