Work with the Volunteer Services Manager to assess and monitor programmatic efficacy and impact by benchmarking and examining retention and engagement. Ensure staff, partners and participants understand, buy into, and can articulate the status, goals, and purpose of the programs in which they are involved. Lead planning, prep and coordination of quarterly Board of Directors meeting reports and periodic sub-committee meetings. Program Assessment & DevelopmentCollect and interpret robust program feedback through surveys, 1-1 meetings and other assessment tools. Utilize assessment reports to guide program planning and implementation. Oversee the development and implementation of all program assessment tools. Develop and facilitate a broad and robust network including non-profit organizations, and business partners, funders, and local, state and national affiliates, and maintains a strong working relationship with DOE leadership, school administrators, educators, parents, and students working to further environmental education in Hawaii. Identify program funding opportunities and oversee any program related grant applications and reports. Oversee the creation and revision of all program materials. Oversee the development of new programs. Plan, coordinate, and implement campaigns, educational workshops and other program-related community outreach events Program Operations & ManagementCreate and communicate a comprehensive annual program calendar, forecasting operations, budgeting and staffing needs. Build and implement efficient systems for program planning and execution which streamline internal program operations and external program delivery. Assist with the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training of all new program staff. Establish and maintain a cadence and system for planning, executing, and debriefing programs, as well as creating and delegating roles and responsibilities to program staff, thru regular program team meetings and 1-1 check-ins Find intersections across programs, for example, support grant recipients to spark insights and connections related to other KHF-related programs, learning opportunities, and partners. Desired Traits, Skills, and Experience:5+ years of program leadership and management experience, ideally in an environmental and/or ina-based education setting 5+ years of experience recruiting, hiring, training, managing, and leading others, including taking constructive corrective action with employees and coaching high performers, ideally in a mission-driven setting 3+ years of Hawaii-based job experience and 3 Hawaii-based references Desire to lead an outstanding team to support a suite of environmental education and/or ina-based programs Experience and passion in environmental and/or ina-based education - especially in garden, farm, nutrition, waste reduction, and family and community engagement Excellent organizing and leadership skills Skilled at facilitating clear and open communication within and across programs, levels of staff seniority, and organizational functions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Skilled at strengthening organizational vision and core culture consistently throughout all interactions and operations Skilled at building a team culture of accountability to goals, tasks and outcomes while maintaining psychological safety and work-life balance Track record of achieving program impact in the area of environmental stewardship and long-term behavior change Demonstrated commitment to education, intersectional environmentalism, sustainability, justice and growing a healthier future for Hawaii Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles Experience in program design, assessment, evaluation, and adaptation Strong professional network within the environmental and/or ina-based education field in Hawaii Flexibility in work schedule reflecting the needs and patterns of programs Knowledge of software and database systems, including CRM, impact tools, forms, and other systems Solid computer skills, including in Apple and Google Workspace Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Demonstrated ability to both conduct and coordinate a team in operational tasks, including event logistics and supply storage and distribution Ability to carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds Access to vehicle/transportation for school visits, meetings, and trainings at multiple locations around the island of Oahu BS/BA in education or sustainability preferred, MA/MS a plus Hours and compensation: Full-time position, typically working Tuesday-Saturday in person. Pay starts between $56,000-$70,000/year based on qualifications and experience. Benefits include paid time off, medical and dental benefits, and a 401(k) with employer match. Location: Oahu, Hawaii. Will work both from the KHF office in Haleiwa and will attend school events and meetings at various locations around Oahu.
