Daycon was founded in 1942 by David A. Cohen in Washington, D.C. as a regional supplier of janitorial and sanitary products. The company started with a $200 investment. One of its early accomplishments was the invention of Endust. During the past almost 75 years, Daycon has grown to be one of the largest regional Jan-San manufacturers, distributors, and retailers on the East Coast. In addition to steady internal growth, Daycon has also grown through sales expansion and a series of acquisitions, which have led to new products.. Daycon’s geographic reach extends beyond DC, Virginia and Maryland. We now reach Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North and South Carolina. Through the years, Daycon Products has maintained a strong industry and community focus. Our initiatives range from leadership in recycling to partnering with our customers, suppliers and industry organizations to support schools for underprivileged and disabled children. Daycon is a supporter of The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund, Southern Management's Toys for Tots and local shelters among other charities. Plus, our Daycon Associates individually work with many organizations from the March of Dimes to Habitat for Humanities and the SPCA. An important part of our Daycon Vision is to be responsible citizens to the community.
