About Furniture Enterprises of Alaska, Inc.
There is an old saying in retail: "If you try to be all things to all people, you become nothing to no one." We believe in this credo. That's why Furniture Enterprises of Alaska built our company with six unique stores—Sadler's, Williams & Kay, The Ultimate Mattress Store, Ashley Home Store, La-Z-Boy and America's Mattress. Each store offers a unique shopping experience tailored to the unique attributes of its clientele. From price to style, we carefully curate the pieces Alaskan consumers want and desire.

Furniture Enterprises of Alaska is locally owned and operated by Dave and Rachel Cavitt. Dave learned the furniture business from the bottom up starting as a delivery man for Sadler's in 1975. Moving up to sales, store manager, general manager, buyer, partner and then owner, he and Rachel developed the Furniture Enterprises concept in 1988. Starting with Sadler's stores, Furniture Enterprises has grown to include Williams & Kay, La-Z-Boy, The Ultimate Mattress Store, Ashley Home Store and America's Mattress.

The Cavitts believe in giving back to the community. Their generosity has touched thousands of Alaskans in need through employment of the disabled, sponsorship of Sadler's Ultra Marathon wheelchair race, Sadler's charity trade in events, support of Hope Cottages, Eva Foundation for the survivors of domestic abuse, Go Red for Women, and many more.

Furniture Enterprises of Alaska provides full time employment for nearly 200 associates. Employees enjoy higher than average income, paid vacations, 401(k), health insurance, employee discounts and more. We appreciate and respect our customers, our staff and our community.
