Granite House

Granite House is a nonprofit group home setting for people living with severe and permanent brain injury. Granite House is not only a home for people to live it is a support system for family. Granite House is a new construction group home located in Stillwater, MN on a wooded lot with the newest technology. There will only be 4 residents at a time with 2 staff around the clock, along with the management team there to help.

 

The services that Granite House will be providing:

• 24-hour supervision and full assist with all activities of daily living (ADL’s)
• Brain injury-specific care and therapy, with alternation periods of rest and stimulation
• Sensory stimulation to maintain connections in the brain
• Music therapy to increase social interactions, awareness of body, and cognitive stimulation
• Massage therapy for tone and spasticity and relief from dystonia
• Hydrotherapy tub relaxation of the large muscle groups
• The fresh air in the large screened porch that is connected to the house
