KTSF Television was the first TV station in the USA to broadcast programming in Asian languages (1976), and the first station to produce live and local Chinese-language newscasts (1989). KTSF is the only independent, full-power television station providing news and entertainment programming to 1,657,000 Asian-Americans 2+ in the San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose television market. KTSF’s over-the-air broadcast, cable, and satellite coverage reaches more than 2,476,900 TV households in the market. KTSF’s programming covers the counties of San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Western Solano, Lake, and Mendocino.
