The Overland Park Convention Center, a mid-sized convention center in Overland Park, KS, opened in 2002. While sitting on a 26-acre property, the OPCC hosts an average of 330 events each year, holds over 100,000 sq. ft. in meeting and exhibition space, while bringing in $11.8 million annually. The Convention Center is an all-encompassing event resource for their clients and partners—their team creates experiences through personalized customer service and innovative ideas in all areas of the facility.
In 2017, the Overland Park Convention Center staff was a seamlessly integrated team of partners. Together they: created attendee experiences that continue to receive rave reviews and awards, record breaking year of service, and are one of two venues nationally selected by the event industry to pilot the Exhibitions and Meetings Safety and Security Initiative (EMSSI). Year after year the convention center continues to receive the TripAdvisor Award of Excellence with a 4.5 star ranking out of 5 and locally the Best Facility and Meeting Facility from Ingram’s Magazine for the 15th year in a row.
