Dairy Queen was first built in Jollet, Illinois in 1942. Franchises were sold to various individuals thought the United States and other areas. In Texas, Mr. Omar Smith became one of the first individuals to secure area franchises from the Dairy Queen. In 1947, Mr. Smith put up the DQ logo on his first store and we have continued to grow.

Today our company owns and operates 39 stores, mostly in small towns located south and southwest of our home office in Bryan. Our company is now part of an international chain of 5,000 stores worldwide. Our continued growth depends on how well each of us performs in our jobs and our number one job is customer service.
