Van Buren Community Mental Health (VBCMH) is dedicated to the practice of compassionate, professional, culturally sensitive, and excellent care. We are committed to understanding trauma and engaging in trauma-sensitive practices for our customers and ourselves. We strive to work together as a team, and to communicate honestly and directly. VBCMH is a $22 million operation with approximately 195 full-time, part-time and contractual employees, working out of seven different sites throughout the county. We provide over 25 distinct services for persons of all ages with mental illnesses, emotional disorders, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities, serving over 2,400 customers each year.  VBCMH believes in the value and dignity of the individual and maintains that the mental health of each individual enhances the quality of life of the entire community.
